Blue-glazed cylindrical jar with pair of handles

Haft Tepe. 1st-3rd century A.D. Height 31.7 cm., rim diameter 9.4 cm. Private
collection, Tokyo. The rim of this jar is in a form unique to the Parthians. The
body still shows the marks made by the potter's wheel. The straight handles are
also reminiscent of Parthian designs.
