Bowl with circular facets
Gilan Province. 3rd-7th century. Height 8 cm., diameter 10.7 cm. Private
collection, Tokyo.
A thick bowl of light brown translucent glass containing many air bubbles. There
are thirteen circular facets in each of the top two rows, and seven in the
bottom row ringing a large circular facet cut into the base.
