This page will support development efforts on the encoding of Aramaic, particularly Parthian, in Unicode.
Unicode did not originally include language codepoints for Parthian in Aramaic script. In 2009, Unicode 5.2 was expanded to include Imperial Aramaic, Inscriptional Pahlavi and Inscriptional Parthian. Psalter Pahlavi was added in version 7.0 (2014), Hatran in version 6.0 (2015) and Elymaic in version 12.0 (2019). As of 2019, Book Pahlavi is also under consideration for incorporation.
